The activites under objective 2.3 will assemble the IBP component products of objectives 2.1 and 2.2 into a comprehensive IBP information system, with access to both local databases and distributed resources, such as central crop databases, molecular databases from GCP partner sites and from public initiatives such as Gramene and GrainGenes. The system will contain the following features:-
- Data Management System based on ICIS for germplasm, field trial evaluation and genotyping
- Query System for data management system and public resources (GCP Informatics Platform)
- Logistical Tools for uploading breeding data to the data management system
- Decision Support Tools for parental and recurrent selection
- User friendly Configurable User Interface and Workflow System to control all these features, which can be deployed for several types of breeding program and crop.
